2. Competitive Pricing:
Research similar items to set a competitive price. You want to attract buyers but still make a profit.
That means: do not offer free postage if this would mean that you would lose all your profit. Your main goal is to make money, right?
3. Good Customer Service:
Respond promptly to inquiries and handle any issues professionally. Happy customers are more likely to leave positive feedback!
4. Promote Your Listings:
Use social media or other platforms to drive traffic to your eBay store.
Here we are. Instagram: post in stories so you can include links.
Use pinterest so you can include links.
Use Facebook so you can include links.
Yep, you get it: Promote, promote, promote your products and services everywhere on social media!!
You can also consider eBay’s promoted listings feature. Bit be careful, that can eat up your profit. And again, you want to make money, right?
5. Understand shipping
Offer reasonable shipping rates and consider providing free shipping if possible. It can make your listings more appealing.
But!!! If you sell something for 4 £ and offer free shipping and postage will cost let say 3 £ , then you also will be hit with the 30% or so overall eBay rate (I know, it’s 12 % but we all know that at the end you will pay more, right), then you will get like 50 pennies. That’s peanuts. And if you are unlucky and it’s an international shipping, then you even will be out of pocket, massively! Don’t do that.
Calculate carefully and set your postage prices accordingly, because YOU WANT TO MAKE MONEY!!
6. Stay Organized:
Keep track of your inventory and sales. Especially if you selling on more than one platform.
It’ll help you manage your business better and avoid overselling. Because you don’t want to cancel.orders or hit with bad reviews, right?
